What is the regulation addressing socks with ACUs/OCPs? Does it state whether or not you can have logos on your socks?

If nobody can see your socks then you're good. If you're leadership is making you take your boots off and inspect socks. You have some misguided leadership including chain of support (1SGs and CSMs).

The day that happens in my unit and I cannot stop it sir, is the day I start shopping around for a new unit...

SSG(P) Ryan R. - I meant if they're worried more abouts socks nobody can see than ensuring soldiers can fight and win wars is poor leadership. I think soldiers have the right to notice poor leadership. The exception is soldier going to WLC, Air Assault, Ranger School or any other school that failing to bring the proper equipment means failure.

Unless gentleman its during the field- and then by god I will inspect your feet in order to maintain your health, cut down on blisters, jungle rot etc.

Thanks on the info on the US Army sock specification. I agree with the SGM.
I've found left and right-specific socks work much better than standard socks on walks over a mile or two. The foot bounce is much more comfortable on the arch. Feels like you're walking on pillows instead of dirt. I just want to make sure we have a valid spec out there for these. My wife got mine at Georgia Tech, when she picked me up some on a whim since I am an alumni. They are marked with a "L" and "R" to designate what foot they go on. Go Jackets!

Great now I have this image in my head that I am going to spot someone at DFW Airport in Bobby Socks with Boots and wearing an ACU.....lol I always got a laugh out of the very few Soldiers that would wear white cotton socks under their black boots.

When I was transferred into a flight company and put on flight status I was issued the Fire Resistant Environmental Ensemble (FREE). As part of that issue I received "Darn Tough" brand socks. They have a logo on the side and "Darn Tough" on the toes. They're amazing socks too btw if you don't mind paying $25/pair.
