Does anyone know the timeline that one can put in a 4187 to PCS? I was always told that you have to be at your current unit for a year before the Army would entertain it.

There is no 4187 to PCS. You contact your branch manager to be placed on assignment. Your branch manager isn't going to move you at a year on station, it's a year TOS minimum to move for training, such as reclass. It's three years TOS for normal PCS.

No such a thing, you talk with your branch manager at HRC once you meet your TOS, or just about.

It’s a year if you are going to a special duty assignment. 3 years if normal
