I have used several different calculators, and all of them have yielded vastly different results

It depends on several factors, the first being whether you qualify for a medical retirement or a medical separation, and there are several calculators that apply. Your PEBLO will explain the money portion to you. You can't even begin to make a wild guess until you get your ratings

The PEBLO? Is that the rep you speak with at the beginning of your permanent profile?

SPC(P) Brandon Jenkins - no. When you are put into the IDES system you will get a PEBLO. If you do not know what that is then you haven't even started the process.

SPC(P) Brandon Jenkins you are not hearing what I am saying.

There are too many variables. There are multiple calculators. Your PEBLO will run your info through several calculators and you'll get the one that pays the best. You don't have all the data for the variables until you receive your ratings from the IDES and from the VA.

SFC (Join to see) ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification on that. This makes more sense.

You need to talk to your MED Board and PEBLO folks to have a better understanding on how this whole thing breaks down. Medical retirees get almost all benefits of a retiree but DOD pension is in a weird grey area depending on a lot of factors.

There is no typical dollar amount. Each case if vastly different and based entirely on your injuries or condition. You've provided no information which is why your calculators and people here can provide you with no information, let alone anything accurate.
