What is the typical length of a duty station for a 17C?

What is the typical length of a duty station for a 17c? I know that duty stations could last anywhere from 12 months to 4 years but considering there are only a few primary hubs of activity (Texas/Georgia/Maryland), does that drastically change the duration or weigh it towards the longer duration?
