I used to carry a Spyderco but stopped carrying a knife-only years ago when the Leatherman got a pocket clip added. I find myself using my Leatherman almost daily.

I think EDC is too broad a term by itself. EDC for who certainly what you would EDC in an office job would be different than on a construction job or as military (IMHO). Personally, I try to stick with knives only made in the USA. With that said I also stay away from tanto and serrated because I’m too lazy to sharpen those two. I do like the reverse tanto style like Benchmade 940. When it comes to fixed blade knives nothing beats a Bark River Knife. They are just beautiful to look at as well as function in any environment. Not to mention they come with a “knife lifetime” guarantee so you can hand it down to the next generation and it holds the same guarantee.

Cpl Brett Wagner - Agreed Bark River has some pretty nice blades. And that 940 you mentioned, I have the 940-1 carbon fiber it’s one of my favorites. Then again I am a Benchmade fanboy. I just sold both my full size and mini Griptilian‘s to buddies who wanted good knives. I’d have to say my favorite is my Mini Presidio Black CF-Elite. I also have the full sized one. You should also check out Tops Knives out of Idaho. They have some very interesting designs.
