One of My favorite Bible Quotes is: PSALM 144: 1-2: Blessed be The Lord, My rock, Who trains my arms for battle. Who prepares my hands for war. He is my love, my fortress; He is my stronghold , My savior and my shield, my place of refuge------

Matthew 6:5-6
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they
love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that
they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But
thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy
door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in
secret shall reward thee openly.

----

My favorite, most ignored quote, right after the prohibitions on tattoos, shrimp, shaving, haircuts and wearing clothes of mixed fabrics (ie any uniform).

Well thats where you're wrong about me specifically.
1. the Bible specifies how we're to treat pagans with respect and gentleness as well as not judgmental.
2. Im American. You think Im going to disrespect Batman???
3. Have I commented on the atheist discussion? the noodle discussion? have I??? You're being a hater :p
4. I have to look at it from both sides? Im pretty sure I'm the one who has commented twice about how Christians hijacked the atheist discussion when it was completely out of our lane and our opinion wa not asked for. Ppsshhhh stop trying to group me in with all of the other Christian-claiming, non-Bible studying, do whatever they want fake followers of Jesus. That aint me!

In this case, I would suggest replacing the word "you" with "Christians" if that is in fact what you mean.

If not, it comes across as you referring to me specifically. If thats the case then I have already addressed me specifically.

"You" meaning every human being on the planet. We ALL need realistic expectations, that's not really isolated to any one group.

God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect. 2 Samuel 22:33

No matter how hard things are in life, God is our strength and he will make our ways perfect to overcome the situation.

Matthew 15, 14: don't waste your time debating your faith with those who won't listen

Matthew 15, 16-20: Jesus breaks it down Barney-style and tells the disciples to use common sense ;)

AAAANNNDDDD my most favorite, for all those who say Christians "arent suppose to judge anyone" EEERRRR you're wrong my friends! Christians arent allowed to judge those OUTSIDE of the church. Meaning we arent allowed to judge one single non believer. Oh but we have absolute right to judge our fellow Christians. We have to check each other!

1 Peter 2, 12; 4, 3, 17

2 Timothy 4, 1-5

:)

Bahahahahaha!!! This cracked me up!
My good sir, I believe God Himself pretty much said in Proverbs 25:24 that all the infantry combat training in the world cannot give you victory over a quarrelsome wife. It is best to retreat ;)

It sure does say that in Timothy, but he's referring to the church of Ephesus. Their women, who yes are more gullible and easier to manipulate hence...Adam and Eve ;), were believing the false teachers and bringing that message back to the church. Sometimes you just have to send a good-hearted Christian woman back into the kitchen ;)

SSG Woods; a man does NOT have to be a Christian or Jewish to understand the wisdom of Proverbs 25:24.  He just has to have an X chromosome and the ability to respond to repeated correction. Even a DOG learns after a while not to pick a fight with a badger.

Absolutely sir.
And for those few who don't learn...well...those are our special group of men who get eaten by the badger. There's aways one...

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary - 24. It is better to be alone, than to be joined to one who is a hinderance to the comfort of life.

or the Holman Christian Standard Bible - 24 Better to live on the corner of a roof than to share a house with a nagging wife.

Here is one that I know I had trouble following, well the last part at least! :)

And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. Luke 3:14, whoda guessed Jesus would know one of our biggest gripes?

1 John 4:18-21 There is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear. For fear has to do with punishment and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He loved us first, If anyone says"I love God" and hates his brother, he is a liar;for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God, whom he has not seen.
