Patch is the screaming eagle, medal is my first MSM. I got it as a SSG and there are a select few in the army that get an MSM as an E-6, badge was my gold recruiting badge. Ironically, you are deemed as a piece of shit by your leadership when you don't make mission, civilian parents deem you a piece of shit for doing your job, college and high school counsellors deem you a piece of shit. AND when you leave and go back to your primary MOS your next unit deems you a piece of shit because you weren't a drill. You are always wrong, you are always a damn liar and everybody is an expert on why recruiters screw new deps. It was the one thing that almost turned me against the army but I stayed with it and put it away when I left.

Mine is the Humanitarian Service Medal for assisting with hurricane duties. It gives me a sense of accomplishment seeing people being helped when they have hit and have lost everything they know.

MOVSM is my favorite. It shows that you are active in the community and serve as an ambassador for the Armed Forces.
