My favorite is the Combat Infantry with 1 star that my brother has. He served in country more than that but was classified differently, advisor. He is a humble man who never chased awards .

I am proud to wear my 6th Cavalry Brigade as my combat patch. Only the chinook unit deployed to Desert Storm from the brigade and the brigade is now disbanded.

The American Flag....Of course, that goes without saying.....touchy question though as your responses will surely set off a barrage of back and forth comments....
I say that what ever your favorite military patch, medal or badge is, just wear it proudly and to standard and we all must remember that we are an Army of One....each organization has its own specific mission which counts towards the whole.

Never had the opportunity to wear “Old Glory” on my uniform (Guess that’s a hint to my age). The badge/medal for me is my “Drill Sergeant Badge”. Contrary to popular belief, the Drill Sergeant (myself and those I worked with) took great pride in making soldiers out of civilians. Every TDP (Trainee Discharge Program) was looked on as a personal failure. I had two tours as a Drill Sergeant. I have, since my retirement, found several have become 1SGs/MSGs a couple CSMs/SGMs some Chief Warrant Officers, some Company Grade Officers and even a Lieutenant Colonel. It’s very rewarding to have influenced young men in a Combat Arms MOS so positively.

Expert Rifleman. Was able to be issued M16A1,M16A2,M4A1,M16A4. Shot expert with all of them.
Was surprised to earn the Driver Badge at my new unit because I had transitioned branches between Engineer and Artillery. So it has both Track and Wheel endorsements. Have driven in mud, sand, snow, woods, roads with no accidents over 21 years time.
