I think some of the things written here are a sign of what people lose today. RESPECT. When WW II happened, there were men and women who fought but the percentage of them was small. There were many men and women who served but that number compared to those that were here was small. People in general during that time all played a role. Those that couldn't serve, old, young, all races, creeds, religions, etc. all had a stake in the effort of keeping our great nation safe. Every job in every service has it's good and bad, has it's moments, has it's challenges that people have to overcome no matter at war or not. I have many awards and medals from different services that I'm equally proud of but it's the people that I cherish and think about and regardless of MOS or at war or peace, helped me to become a better person, helped me in time of need, helped me become a better American. So a favorite, I would say like MSG Thibault, the American Flag, because I served and have known so many good American people that it makes me proud to be one.

Fourth Armored Division patch. No need for a saying underneath it. We shall be known by our "Deeds Alone". I've seen quite a few guys proud of their Divisional patches here, one that wouldn't exist had it not been for George S. Patton and his men at a town called Bastogne. They would have also gone THROUGH Berlin and points East, had they been "allowed". During my time with them we only got to go TO the Czech border when they were invaded in '68. Oh, well. Was saddened when the guidon, and Division was retired....
