Whether it is "High Speed," "Hero," or just plain ole' "Troop," what is your favorite or least favorite military pet name?

"Shipmate."
Always shouted at one's back by some Topside wannabe tough guy who had nothing better to do than sit in the First Class Mess or hang out in the hangar bay and issue "speeding tickets" to people who had more important things to do than spend all day polishing their boots or pressing military creases into their coveralls. You know, because the lights need to stay on, and the screws need to keep going roundy-roundy to keep the pointy end moving forward through the water and the jets flying.

I always enjoy calling Soldiers "Race Car," simply because "High Speed" is overplayed.
Either that, or I call them "Stud."

In weather units we were always know by our initials. LRO was on everything it seemed and in our unofficial log book we referred to each other by initials. To say we had a lot of educated people is an understatement. Especially with creativity. Mine being LRO I got the moniker Law Row phonetically pronounced. lol
