Geographical referencing of contacts.
Great feature for finding out who you know before arriving to a new duty station. I could see using this on TDYs, personal travel, and PCSs.

I truly enjoy the RallyPoint Universe. This allows anyone to look up potential contacts at their current or future duty location. It also gives us the ability to research probable assignments, which helps us make much more informed decisions.

I joined because of the potential in being able to influence future assignments and the networking that goes with it. However, I found these forums to be surprisingly impressive with the types of topics posted, the knowledge shared and once or twice, the heated debates they have created.

I think that the Military Assignments section has a tremendous amount of potential. It could use a couple more search options and a lot more participation, but I could see it being quite useful in the long run.<br>

It would have to be the RallyPoint Universe for me. It's utility is very effective to maneuver between contacts and to find potential new ones. A close second would be the layout and format of the profiles.

I like knowing that RallyPoint is filled with People that have made a Commitment to the Nation by their service. Many have gone before us and we would be wise to share our Successes and failures to help the Next Warrior to get across the River faster and with Dry Feet.

I have a two-fold interest. For one, I am connecting with my old counterparts. Secondly, and more importantly for the future, I am networking to connect heroes to careers.
My transition from the Marine Corps wasn't an easy one, but it taught me a lot about struggles in transtioning, and how I can assist others... as well as how corporate America understands/misunderstands the veteran candidate (NCO, JMO...all). Aside from a few companies that have the resources to accomodate the military candidate search, the ones who see the marketing value in it, and the smaller ones that may have executive or management level (veteran) players, the majority of corporate America will misinterpret the skills and values of the military leader.

I like the badges with a "V" for veteran and "SM" for service member. These help me keep in touch with where people are in their journey!.
