Without a Doubt AR 25-50 "Preparing and Managing Correspondence" is the best regulation out there period.

AR 3-21.5 Army Drill and Ceremonies. I have loved D&C since I was a freshmen in high school. I wish that the active components would bring back close order drills to get some of the discipline back into our military.

For many years a copy of ?FM? 22-5, D & C was kept in close proximity to my person.
Parade ground: Ft Irwin 1973?, The staff was rehearsing for an event. As I observed from the bleachers, I observed a miscue and so advised LTC DeGraw.
The staff continued to make the same blunder,I advised the Colonel that it was wrong.
The staff committed the error again. I said, “Colonel, right here in 22-5 it says — - — —“!
Colonel DeGraw responded, “why didn’t you tell me?”
I shrugged my shoulders and watched the movement being executed, by the Book!
