Mandatory “fun runs” are the opposite of fun.

Neglecting to provide Soldiers with training relevant to their MOS and only run countless WTBD's and then wondering why you have people in your ranks who are not proficient in their jobs. Yes, WTBD's are essential to basic function of being a Soldier and conducting combat. However, straight up neglecting or refusing to resource relevant MOS training can be equally detrimental to a Soldier's readiness.

It's way more easy to get through now. The pay is much better... (my opinion)

Respect those individuals who have earned their qualification badges. They worked hard to earn them and if you feel jealous, tough.

Bring back drumming out shitbirds, red line brigs and resume executing murderers, rapists, child molesters and traitors.

is wasn't until recently that people started recognizing the military and thanking them for their service which I do not see a problem with. However I do have a problem with the state of Colorado being the only state that gives out the most military discounts which should be the same across the board because members of the military come from all over. As a matter of fact instead of just thanking military personnel for their service do something more to help them who are less fortunate than yourself because we only seem to matter when we are on active duty and forgotten after the fact.

I think we need to get away from untrained Soldiers and Untrained units fighting our battles.

As an Older Marine I remember how we were treated, it is nice that today's troops don't as a whole have to deal with that hostility. I am appalled at the appellation of hero to all who serve. None of us really knew what we were getting into when we enlisted, which diminished that "Act of Heroism" If you remember the moment that you first were shot at for real, you know that feeling.... The simple act of boarding a helicopter or aircraft heading into a potentially hot LZ is an act of courage. Each of us who have come under hostile fire has faced the very real realization of some one trying to kill us. Some men rise to extraordinary acts of courage, some survive them and others do not. It is a rare act that someone gives his life willingly, most are killed fighting the enemy, some never knew the battle was joined, so I resent the saying, "he sacrificed his life for his country" because the enemy took his life. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, nothing in your ordinary life will help you understand. We all live with our personal nightmares some are more haunted than others some have seen just too much. No one who has not been, there done that can possibly understand. Semper Fi my Brothers
