My question is what are the limits to this reasoning - if an individual identifies as women do they qualify for the perks offered or can they apply for certification in being woman-owned business. What if I identify as being a minority. Where and what are the limits to this.

In some states, if you are a HS male that "identifies" as a female you are allowed to play on the female teams, use the locker rooms, showers, restrooms...etc.

Barack Hussein Obama appeared to put the rights of minority groups over the majority groups thus oppressing the majority of Americans. He appeared to be attempting to undermine the stability and continuity of the US by his antiAmerican antiConstitution antiLaw enforcement polices. He strengthened our enemies and undermined our friends. Some say he was a double agent put in place to destroy the USA from within. Actions speak loud.

It's total BS - we have so many other things to take care of in the US.

Live and let live. It costs me nothing to treat people who are transgender with the same dignity I would hope to receive if I had to deal with an issue like that.

I would have to say I don't have an opinion about President Obama's transgender bathroom policy because he does not have one. The "policy" in question is not policy at all but guidance to schools that receive federal funding of their Title IX compliance requirements and how the Departments of Justice and Education expect said school to comply with Title IX requirements.

These same documents come out all the time as a Department recognizes that further guidance is required. For instance TSA has guidance at various times regarding airport security. The Department of State puts out new guidance on various countries all the time as the situation in those countries changes. Same for almost everything form farming to foods to medicine. All are updated at the departmental level with out Presidential signature. If you think everyone of them goes before the President for a briefing then you have absolutely no idea what actually goes on at that level.

Here is the guidance itself signed by a Assistant Secretary and a Principle Deputy Assistant Attorney. http://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/letters/colleague-201605-title-ix-transgender.pdf

At best the President would only be briefed on this in passing if at all. The equivalently of this is "What is your opinion about Army Chief of Staff GEN Mark Milley's personal leave policy for 1st Army Davison?" I suspect it is he has better things to do than worry about how soldiers in 1st Army Division take their leave. But who knows maybe he likes to get into the weeds on details like that, but I doubt it.

All I am really saying is that if you are going to passionately disagree with the President, which it seems many on here are doing, do it for something he has actually done. A it's a cheap shot and B it weakens your case against legitimate disagreements (you come off as a constant complainer and therefore have no legitimate reason to complain).

As we all know by now, President (Emperor?) Obama issued a May 13th directive requiring every public school in the nation to accommodate transgender students–under Title IX guidelines. Boys who identify as girls and vice versa must be allowed to use the bathrooms and locker rooms and shower stalls based on their felt “identity” of the day, and to play on the sports teams of their choosing. The decree he released last Friday says that all schools across the country must allow students to choose the restrooms and locker rooms according to “their internal sense of gender.” If schools don’t comply, he threatens loss of funding and lawsuits from the federal government. “It’s an outrageous attack on our Creator Himself, upon human sexuality and morality and a further advancement of the flagrant attack on religious freedom in our culture,” Southern Baptist Convention President Ronnie Floyd said. “Sooner or later we have to determine that enough is enough,” he said. “It’s not going to change until Christians get involved in this battle.” What about the privacy and protection of all the other students? Isn’t this discrimination against all of them? A decree doesn’t carry the force and weight of law–that's Congress' job. Does the president not fear God, Who made us and created us male and female? If losing federal funding is the price we must pay to protect women and children–then so be it. We must not betray what we know to be true for the government’s 30 pieces of silver. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. Far too long, society has slept as this administration has fundamentally transformed our nation. Major American corporations are partnering with Hollywood and militant activists to attack religious liberty. PayPal, Disney, Marvel, and Coca-Cola are some of the companies threatening to punish any state that dares to defend the rights of Christians. PayPal, Bruce Springsteen and others have already announced boycotts of any state that refuses to allow this travesty. So… do we defy the president and resist or do we go back to sleep and sacrifice our children? If we’re going to identify people based on feelings, doesn't anything go? I recently saw these online questions for the Attorney General: Shouldn't a 16-year-old who identifies as a 21-year-old be allowed to drink alcohol? Shouldn't a 40-year-old who identifies as a 65-year-old receive Social Security benefits and senior citizen discounts at movies and restaurants?
