If you really want to "support the troops", you can fly us all to Washington and make the civilians march in a parade for us while we watch. Marching in a parade is tedious and irksome. It's cool to watch, not participate. You don't honor us by "volunteering" us to be dancing monkeys for your amusement.

And take the money it would cost and divide it up and give each person a bonus. I think it would be a hefty one.

As a civilian, I’d love to watch us parade for you. It would be a belly laugh, but of appreciation

I think it will be a waste of precious time, energy and resources, all of which could be put to use in much better ways.

I originally thought along the same lines then I realized, which is cheaper, a show of force in a parade or sending B2 bombers from Missouri to South Korea for a show of force?

MAJ Byron Oyler - I don't consider a parade a show of force. I would consider a joint military exercise in the Far East a show of force. A bunch of troops walking down a road, marching in formation to parade music? Not so much.
