All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. As such November 6, 2018 could prove to be a pivotal point in American politics - especially so for President Trump. So what do you think will be the outcome - more foreign interference, blue wave or red tide?

Red Wave... if the 138 year democratic stronghold in Texas that flipped to Republican is any indication.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I agree with you Nelson (don't fall out of your chair HA HA HA)! I think anymore the prognosticating before elections is just plain broken. None of the polls are accurate, and they really are making no move to make them better. Doing internet polls is going to make the results even worse. Repubs generally don't vote in mid terms, but I think there is enough outrage to make them get out this time..

LT Brad McInnis I think the polls are pretty accurate if you do not ignore the margins of errors, that was also true in 2016.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - I have seen a bunch of them that are going to an internet poll, and those are notoriously misleading. Time will tell... Have a good week buddy!

LT Brad McInnis I ignore the ones that are Internet based and use the ones from Real Clear Politic ( a conservative site) and 538 Who is perhaps a bit left of nuetral. None of the major news sources defend on Internet polling either. and they get basically simular numbers from Fox to MSNBC. The only flyer is Rassummsen who for some bizzare reasons thinks only people with landlines vote. .

Like all most all mid-term elections, the power will flip. I don't think it will be quite the "blue wave" that the left is hoping for, but it will probably shift. However, after the 2016 election results...I don't think anyone can predict anything...anymore.

I know what I'd like to see. The major urban centers are going to do their thing though.

Yes I find the political landscape very interesting - for the house the majority of our country in terms of land is clearly represented by Republicans - however as you have pointed out the heavily populated urban areas are represented by Democrats. This results in almost a dead split in the Senate. Regardless it going to be interesting. I know here in IL at least in my area it seems the Democrats are out in full force - both in spending and in canvasing neighborhoods. I will not be surprised if my district - IL 6th District - goes blue. One thing I have notice as well - way more female candidates in this election.
