If you travel to large metropolitan US cities, which one do you generally feel safer in? Why? Which one do you try to avoid? Why?

I prefer the suburbs, but all cities have ups and downs and as long as I have my wits about me and pay attention I feel comfortable everywhere. Just have to know what to do and how to act.

None. I can't breathe in a city and panic. You can find me 3rd tree from the right in the woods. I'm in Tucson and hate it. Drugs and cartels. The only thing keeping any semblence of peace is the open carry law. 6 more months and off we go. Top contenders at the moment are Guam, Saipan, Okinawa, and Northern Japan

Any city in Texas. If you take the crime statistics for America's largest cities and lump them together as though they were an independent nation, they would rank #1 in crime, especially violent crime, in the world. The rest of the United States where there are almost as many guns as people, without including its largest cities, would rank fourth from the bottom of that list. What does that tell you?

I'd feel safe in any city. But I think it just depends on the person. Some people don't like to get out of that comfort zone as opposed to others love that feeling.
