RP Members, Connections, and Friends I believe there are some really outrageous nicknames that have been handed out to some of you when you served in the Military. Lets' get them out there and don't be embarrased. Please share! This is one of those Posts that just keep giving over time. RP Members keep adding your nicknames.
Don't leave us hanging - share the story behind the nickname too!!
One of my many was: "Burly" and when I was a PFC/E-3 it was "Horse Collar!" Others I can't repeat from Basic Training - use your imagination!

I was given 2 nicknames in Boot Camp my drill SSG called me Boston because of my accent. After that in my unit I was called Fat Kid Loves Cake because I was so skinny and ate sooooo much chocolate cake. It caught up with me after I got out of the Army though. Not skinny anymore lol RIP skinny body.

Picture this...
Sept. 1977
29 Palms
boot spit shined
Camos pressed and starched
Military reg haircut
Cover starched and blocked
one squared away Marine
... but on my face, a paired sunglasses
Cpl. Ellis says to me " Hey Starchild, lose the shades"
the nickname has been with me ever since...

When I was a lowly company grade officer, my nickname was "Cheech Wizard" (you have to have been around during the Vietnam War era to understand the reference). Once I made it to field grade, it became "Major C", then "Colonel C," thanks to an unpronounceable last name.
