1979 Age 17 , MCRD Parris Island, Walked Out of High School at Lunch,, Senior Year, Went to a MARINE Recruiter about a Mile From School, Recruiter Helped me get a GED , 2 Weeks Later on my way to Boot Camp , Would Not Change a Thing

This is a really old, dead post, but, why not?! Fort Jackson, SC. I was 17 when I arrived, turned 18 3 days later. My parents had to sign for me to go. I'd had a year of college, and just wasn't happy with it, so, off I went.
