SN Greg Wright - I agree, usually walking everywhere you go because of red and black flag conditions. At night, though it can get very chilly. We had a fire drill one night; I was in blueberries (sweats) and was freezing my butt off waiting for the All Clear from the FD.

PO1 (Join to see) - I was in Orlando from Jun-Aug...and it sucked great big...er, well. You get the picture. Black flags half the time, and we had to run into the nearest buildings (which we actually liked because they were AC'd) because of thunderstorms the other half.

SN Greg Wright - We couldn't run period during a red or black flag. I had an appointed with SRBB and that was close to the Pearl Harbor and I was like a mile away. I started running at 0730 and got stopped by a Petty Officer, telling me that I needed to walk it was red flag. I thought that morning was decent enough for a run but I guess not.

Orlando, '88, Jun-Aug. So frigging hot that there were base-wide 'flags' that Company Commanders had to reference before gunning us down with PT.
