MVP was founded in 2015 by Fox Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer and former Green Beret and Seattle Seahawk Nate Boyer. They wanted to address the challenges that combat veterans and former professional athletes face in transition once the uniform comes off.

MVP empowers combat veterans and former professional athletes by connecting them after the uniform comes off; providing them with a new team to assist with transition, promote personal development, and show them they are never alone.

I’m very inspired by older athletes that continue to compete at a high level. I think Kelly Slater has proven to be an elite athlete even in the later stage of his career. I enjoy surfing and I hope I can have longevity like Kelly Slater

The professional athlete that inspired me the most is "The Admiral" David Robinson. The fact that he not only graduated from the Naval Academy but served all before playing professional basketball. Then being a 2-time NBA champion, 10-time NBA All-Star, 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist, 4-time All-NBA First Team, and NBA MVP once he went to the NBA shows that no matter what path you take, if you apply yourself you can be great.

Grant Hill was my childhood hero when I grew up in Detroit. He held himself to such a high standard ethically and athletically.

I would have to say JJ Watt. He has always helped his community. He has always been a respectful human being. Always showed great sportsmanship as well.

Dak Prescott of the Cowboys,
Not only has he helped military with mental health. He continues to be "Beacon of Hope" speaking at fundraisers and he also has the "Faith, Fight and Finish" foundation. He combats and makes aware to fight against suicide and to ask 4 help. He remains an example of taking charge of his own mental health but helps many others!

Walter Payton, he provided a gentle kindness with leadership by example. Drove himself to lead from the front, worked tirelessly to be the very best at what he did. Been my role model throughout my long career.

The professional Athelete who inspires me the most are those who personally give back to their community with time and funds. One who comes to mind is Tiger Woods. His First Flight helps teach less fortunate children the game of golf. He continues to fund and show up at many children golf events. Not for his glory but to raise awareness of the sport and put the focus on the kids. Well done.

JJ Watt, he's an athlete who knows he's blessed and contributes to the community. I don't know him, but from coverage of him I've seen, he's a man of integrity.

Warrick Dunn, I did not lose my mother until later in my life but I was the oldest of four boys and had to grow up fast to take care of my younger brothers due to my mother's drug habit while living in the projects of Savannah, I graduated High School and joined the military as a teen father. He has always given back to his community in a positive way.
