MVP was founded in 2015 by Fox Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer and former Green Beret and Seattle Seahawk Nate Boyer. They wanted to address the challenges that combat veterans and former professional athletes face in transition once the uniform comes off.

MVP empowers combat veterans and former professional athletes by connecting them after the uniform comes off; providing them with a new team to assist with transition, promote personal development, and show them they are never alone.

I say that any athlete that comes back after injury or sickness is inspiring, because they overcome challenges.

The professional athlete that inspires me the most is Roger Federer. Not only did he achieve the highest honors, accomplishments, etc.. He is clearly a man of discipline, compassion and generosity. His work with orphans and underprivileged kids is impressive, and not only was universally respect4ed for his conduct, he seemed to be universally liked by his fellow tennis players, as as the fans. A gentleman, sportsman and philanthropist.

Growing up I was a huge into athletes that were all about grit and hustle. The ones that would push through adversity on the field of battle and rise to the occasion. The ones you see in commercials and on magazine covers. Now that I’m older and have 2 daughters, my focus has changed more about what the individuals stands for in the community, as a role model and sometimes what they had to endure to get to their success. For that reason, the athlete that inspires me most is Aly Raisman. She as a young girl and even now as a woman is a role model for change. She stood up and faced her fears and confronted a monster. I don’t know if I could muster up the courage to do. I don’t know if I would have the ability to share my story and give a voice to millions of those that have been abused. For this, she inspires me to face my fears and share my stories because even though I may not battle the same demons she did, my stories may help others to fight and find their inner peace! Thank you Aly Raisman for being strong!

Aaron Judge, he plays baseball for the New York Yankees. He wasn't expected to develop into a very good prospect, but he took advantage of a very small chance he had during his rookie season. He performed SO well that they couldn't ignore him. He then went on to win Rookie of the year, and since then he has become an MVP and the best hitter in Baseball. Moreover, he "bet on himself" during contract negotiations - he had the confidence in his work ethic to perform at the highest level and win the money he deserved. He is also humble and appreciative of all the support systems in his life, and the fans.

Pat Tillman inspires me for several reasons. Firstly, his decision to leave behind a lucrative football career to join the military truly exemplifies his selflessness and dedication to something greater than himself. Despite achieving fame and success as a professional athlete, Tillman felt a deep sense of duty to serve his country.

Secondly, his unwavering courage is admirable. Tillman willingly put himself in harm's way, joining the Army Rangers and serving multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He faced the dangers of war head-on, displaying immense bravery in the face of adversity.

Moreover, Tillman's integrity shines through his actions. When his death in Afghanistan was initially reported as the result of enemy fire, it was later revealed that he was tragically killed by friendly fire. Despite attempts to hide the truth, Tillman's family fought for the transparency and honesty he deserved. This demonstrates his commitment to truth and justice, even after his passing.

Tillman's legacy extends beyond his military service. He remains an inspiration as a symbol of selflessness and sacrifice. His story reminds us of the importance of standing up for what we believe in, even in the face of societal pressures or personal convenience.

In conclusion, Pat Tillman's selflessness, courage, and integrity make him an extraordinary individual who continues to inspire me. His ability to put the needs of others above his own, his unwavering bravery, and his commitment to truth and justice serve as a constant reminder of the power of one person's actions to make a positive impact on the world.

When Michael Jordon sneakers came out and the kids started killing each other for them, Charles Barkley made a Nike Air Commercial telling the young adults, "I am not a role model." We will never know how many lives his commercial saved! However, GOD knows and I am thankful. The morgues are full of young people today; not older adults like me. My heart breaks everytime my pastor talks about it. He works for WJZ/CBS and reminds us every Sunday!!! Sir Charles, get's my vote. This takes nothing away from Pat Tillman, a honorable man who was willing to walk away from his professional career to serve his country. RIP Pat and thank you for your service!

After watching the movie, American Underdog, I have deep respect for Kurt Warner. His life story inspires me to be a be a better person, work hard to achieve greatness but at the same time being a humble servant to mankind. His dedication not only to football but to his family and his charities is admirable.
