I am looking for regulations, active milper messages, etc that provide any insight into an early transition into the reserves or guard. I have heard about the new career early separation option, school early separation option. I'm not sure what options are actively out there at the moment. I'm hoping someone here has some insight. The NG recruiter has informed me that if I can sperate early I can be picked up by the NG 6 months prior to my current ETS. Basically, I have a year left in my contract. Normally I would ride this one out but I have personal reasons that compel me to get home as early as possible. I've been in for 7 years and I want to continue my commitment and service. I just need to do this in a way that supports my personal affairs. any insight or advice would be very much appreciated.

Early outs come up in draw down years, this is not one of them.
There is never an early out specifically for reserve components.
You can sign your reserve component contract up to 180 days out from your ETS.
The reserve component contract starts the day after your ETS.

I do not believe that the career option is viable. I believe they stopped that years ago. SFC (Join to see), can you shed more light on this?

The NG recruiter needs to follow though. You need to keep on him. Your ETS will happen quickly.

I am confident that the NG recruiter will follow through with having me sign a contract 6 month prior to my ETS. The issue is trying to see if active duty can release me 6 months prior to my ETS. Weather that's through finding a new career, school, governing regs, milper messages, etc. Thank you for your response.

These change all the time, depending on Service/MOS Needs. Just keep plugging the NG Recruiter.
