You've been to military balls. Like me, you've seen a wide variety of ball gowns. What is an appropriate ball gown? What is not? Can you give or show example?

This is the kind of stuff that undermines the respect out lower enlisted have for the officer/NCO corps. This is the kind of thing that causes good soldiers to loose all there motivation to reenlist. If I was at that function I would have left at the first chance. Who wants to associate with this kind of "unit"!

Someone give that woman an old BDU field jacket (zippered) to cover herself up.

The caption should read: I think I am the only sexy person in the world and I do not care how this affects how people see me or my husband.

I know that's been around for probably 15 years. My company commander showed it to me and the rest of the lieutenants before a brigade ball.

Many are called and a few get balled. After the ball.

If I remember correctly, this was at an aviation ball at Ft. Bragg back in the early 90's...it's been that long ago. It was either there or an SF ball, both had an "issue" with a date like this...I don't remember which one this was. I attended the aviation ball but was pretty drunk by the time the drama started to happen...being a single Air Cavalry Platoon leader at the time meant I didn't pay much attention to the couples...it was more about the open bar.

The only thing missing for that woman is a pole. To me it simple remember that you are being to a black tie formal event, not the club.

If that's an appropriate formal gown ...then this is an appropriate penguin suit.

My version of formal classy. I own two dresses, one velvet and this shimmery one. Both deep blue. Never failed me yet, or gotten me into trouble.

If you have to ask if this gown is appropriate then you don't belong in the Army or should ever attend a military ball. The senior officer attending the ball, should have talked to her husband or date and have him immediately remove her from the event. This is disrespectful and dishonors the integrity of most of Army wives, Fiances, or girl friends. I don't know, maybe we should ask the Supreme Court?

Very attractive woman making herself look like a tramp with her lack of dress protocol. There is no reason to show that much at the military ball if you are married or single. Whomever her date was should have been pulled aside and asked to take her home.
