You've been to military balls. Like me, you've seen a wide variety of ball gowns. What is an appropriate ball gown? What is not? Can you give or show example?

This is just totally disgusting. They should not have been admitted no matter what rank. If that is a dance she is doing, someone really should have gotten them out at that point. So much for trying to teach young soldiers by leadership. I wonder if either really honestly think she is appropriately dressed for a formal function and not the bed room.

That's an awesome dress on a hot woman. But not a tasteful ball gown for a Military wife, let alone a Captains wife.

She's hot let her dance and that's a lovely gown. What you expect an old grunt to say?

And I don't suppose that she goes to the base club when he is away. Very sleezy.

This is a picture of when I was in JROTC and this kind of gown is what I would consider appropriate for said function. The afore posted picture is disgraceful for a Ball.

Such cute kids. While totally appropriate...I think if this all the lower you are willing to set the bar, you might get some push back...at least from girl that has bought a dress since the 1980s?

CH(CPT)William Beaver I am not the only one who voted you down.It was quite obvious that this was inappropriate.I don't think it really need to be pointed out.As I scrolled through the comments I saw many others agree with my point of view. The question posted was answered and as asked for example posted to show what is appropriate.I think we all know what is being passed off as clothing these days. One only has to walk down the street.I am old school and was raised as such.I apologize if I offend you with my opinion.

We were briefed and warned that this was a class act and not to be tacky, reputations and careers were on the line. I never saw anything like this. I did see some who drank a bit to much and the Commander or CSM got them a taxi and sent them on their way. No one ever said no to a taxi ordered by the CSM or Commander.

Eight years in and I had not been to a military ball but I can say this is the behavior I would have expected. Respect for others, or lack there of, was one of the reasons I left the military. I expected more and seeing this brings it all back. Can't say it is any better on the outside, I guess I am just old fashioned.
