You've been to military balls. Like me, you've seen a wide variety of ball gowns. What is an appropriate ball gown? What is not? Can you give or show example?

Men, treat your woman like a Queen and she will make you feel like a King. Women, treat your man like a King and he will treat you like a Queen. If this does not happen, something is truly broken. But if you dress up a pig, it is still a pig. If you dress like a $20 hooker, you will turn a lot of heads and get a lot of attention, but you will get the respect of a $20 hooker.

Well said SFC Merino!!! I remember when this photo started circulating on Facebook. The first thought that came to mind was gee, way to discredit the service (any branch). I get it that things are more in your face these days but whores belong in the back alleys.....NOT at a military ball.

Some women that are very attractive feel they need to prove their "sexy". She fell flat at trashy!! Ewww, just ewww. But you're right! You can't turn a hooker into a housewife!

I believe that wives are also a reflection of the Soldier they are married to. Regardless of your rank, I know that behind every great man is a great woman. Well, it's supposed to be that way. That being said, I have been to a handful of Army formals myself. My wife has always kept it tasteful and classy, and I loved the dresses she wore. This pic is the last one I attended and my wife kept it very nice.

An appropriate ball gown is one that does not bring discredit to the military organization. A leader must make an assessment of their date's attire (both male and female). We set the example for our Soldiers to follow. This officer did not.

MSG Tom Earley Ansbach has changed significantly since you were here. It is still a nice place to live and work. We have a mall now right next to where the 1AD HQ was. Katterbach has not changed much other than renovations on barracks and one new barracks building. Since the Irish Pub has been around forever, I am guessing that was here when you were.
