You've been to military balls. Like me, you've seen a wide variety of ball gowns. What is an appropriate ball gown? What is not? Can you give or show example?

I believe the reason this photo is taking so much heat is because of what's happening in the picture. A lot of you are questioning the dress when your response might be more because of your feelings of what she's doing. Yes, the dress is a little revealing but if they were posing for picture as opposing to dancing (at least she is), then maybe this isn't that much of an issue. Our society and our world is changing: gay rights, women in the infantry, tattoos, etc. They're are bigger more important things going on right now than to be worried about this woman and her dress and a military function in which most of the personnel there will get drunk to begin with. Just my two cents though.

I would be less likely to comment about the dancing. The dress isn't just a little revealing it. It fails to represent a lot of things. Getting drunk is one thing but allowing everything to either fall out or almost fall out is disrespectful

I can agree with that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm 100% ok with it, I guess that with everything else we as Americans/servicemen have been forced to accept (whether we agree with it or not), this is just another one of those things. Or maybe I've just become jaded lol

What I don't see pictured, are wraps. There is etiquette requiring that ladies shoulders are covered until the formal part of the event is over. (Obviously dancing is the informal.) Maybe I'm old school, but I always had wraps with my gowns. As a reflection of my husband, I wanted his chain to know that we knew and exemplified the rules. Lead by example!

Judging by the fact nobody seems to be paying her any attention, I imagine the secret is already out and the whole unit has already seen it, so it's no big deal. Lol.

We have to remember - these days, many people think it's all about them, regardless of the circumstances. Pity the poor fool married to her, as he tries to explain just why they were shunned at the ball.

That definitely looks like the female WWE wrestler Medusa/ Alundra Blaze. She was inducted into the hall of fame recently and her husband was there and he is active duty. Pretty sure that is them.
