You've been to military balls. Like me, you've seen a wide variety of ball gowns. What is an appropriate ball gown? What is not? Can you give or show example?

I've. Seen. Worse. It's a way to show off, a way to be seen, the goal is to get attention and if you think a person who would wear this to a military function is concerned with the judgement, their not. She was the talk of that function no doubt, but now she's a legend. Exactly what she wanted.

Not at all appropriate for a military ball or any formal event.

This gown was in such bad taste, and it was such bad form for her to wear it. You may have a nice shape, and body, but that doesn't mean you can put a piece of cloth on certain areas and call it a dress. this was so disrespectful. I'm sure her husband though, " I'm going to show off my hot wife". No dude. Bad, bad form.

I will have to agree it may not have been the best dress to wear to this particular function BUT If she is proud of herself and she can pull off the look than more power to her. The problem I see is she does need some etiquette training and lessons on how to act at a ball or dance based on the function and wardrobe she has chosen for that function. I am willing to bet a few adult beverages may have been involved by the time the picture was taken and I would be more worried about the person that felt it was necessary to take the picture and post it all over the internet. I also believe the Military may "own" the soldier but they do not "own" the spouse or family . I was also brought up that until I am perfect do not judge or worry about what others are doing unless it is hurting you personally and work on your own self improvement until you make yourself perfect. JMHO and I do not expect that everyone will agree but thats why we chose to defend this Great Nation .
