What's Camp Carroll, South Korea like? Its my first duty station and thats all I know about it.

It will be what you make of it. Any experience that will be given is relative to the individual. Advice would be...don't be a barracks rat. Have fun, knock out college, study for boards, and keep yourself outta trouble.

That is a great goal to have. Keep setting short term goals and knock them out so your long term goal will be accomplished. There will be an abundance of information around you ask questions and keep leaning forward. Get yourself a white board or something so you can put your goals on and look at them daily and ask yourself "What have I done today to get there?" Good luck. Remember words are just that....It is time to take action.

Location-wise, it's close to Taegu, so there will be plenty to do beyond the "ville" immediately off base.

It's a small post near Taegu. In Taegu there are also the small posts Camp Walker and Camp Henry. There's a lot to do in the immediate area and they have an excellent subway system. Be sure to go to the Korean Baseball games: The Samsung Lions. The intensity of ther fans are on another level.
