What’s the acceptance rate for OCS Selection Panel after Local Board Recommendations? @OCS

It has been my experience that the local board is the toughest hurdle to get over. It's been many many years but when I was commissioned I was told that if you made it passed the local board everything else was pretty much a rubber stamp.

I don't know how true this is, but I heard they want folks to pass OCS so the hard part is putting up a packet.

Are you Active Army, Reserve, or National Guard? Depending on which of the categories you fall under will dictate the ”acceptance rate” per say that you’re referring to. As far as the National Guard goes, the beginning steps will usually begin with a request to your Co. at the company level with an initial OCS packet which I’m sure you’re familiar with and from there then goes on to the BC, then onto the BDE/DRU level.
Once the BC has looked over your packet and determined that they have availabilities or vacancies within your battalion or another for officers, they’ll make they’re decision. Some BC’s will want a formal meeting with you so that they have one on one time with a person that they are pushing a packet forward for. Theyll ensure you do or will meet the criteria (depending on The form of OCS you choose and or are excepted to, i.e.traditional or accelerated), they’ll sign off on your packet at which point you’re pretty much a shoe in. However if you're right on the edge of meeting the criteria and have decent and or subpar NCOER’s, you may have Some explaining and proving to do in order to show that you should become an officer and or even allowed the opportunity to try to become one in the first place. As I’m sure you know, the last thing the military needs is another toxic officer.
Sorry if I got long-winded but hopefully that covers pretty much everything you were wanting to know. Sorry if I got long-winded but hopefully that covers pretty much everything you were wanting to know.

You can literally have an E-2 put together an OCS packet. All military components, in this case Army, regardless if you’re active, guard, or reserve have a checklist(s) that you must go off and be completed before anything is submitted beyond the company level. All soldiers looking to become a commissioned officer have got to abide by the exact same guidelines and or policies & procedures because you are a federally recognized officer upon completion of OCS and FED REC orders in hand/uploaded.
If you have additional questions Regarding the packet and or submission I’d be more than willing to help you and or give you my advice. As a prior enlisted soldier And officer do you become pretty familiar with certain processes, one of which being OCS packets while you are in an XO as well as a commander which one which and officer do you become pretty familiar with certain processes, one of which being OCS packets while you're an XO as well as a Company Commander. which one which one of us being
