After the service while working at my new job with Shell Oil Company I ask my Manager when I would be advanced to the next level, he replied "and if you tell someone I will deny it" you need to go to college to get promoted. A week lated I was enrolled in college under the GI Bill. Best decision I ever made (next to joining the US Navy).
