Between AFTPs, drill, and the technician program, you have the potential to make a lot more money than if you were AD.

Component doesn’t change the MOS really, they both go to the same basic and AIT, both work in the UH60, usually start on ground maint before considering being a flying crew chief.

2LT (Join to see) What I’m looking for is if I do National Guard for 4 years while going to college...where do I go after to go Active Duty and get the full effect of being a 15T

(Join to see) yes, the process will make more sense once you’re actually doing it, but you’d have to talk to a recruiter, get a DD Form 368, have the active Army agree to take you and the Guard sign off releasing you to them. You can only serve in one component at a time, so it’s a similar release process to move from Guard to Active or from Guard to Rearves, as it would be from Reserves to Guard, or Reserves to Active.
