After leaving the Army, I found myself with no funds and no place to go while I awaited for my last paycheck to be deposited. I was about to find myself on the street with everything I owned in the world. A total stranger paid for my hotel room for 3 days. Never even got his name.

The most thoughtful thing someone has done for me was invite my boys and I into their home to have thanksgiving dinner with them. Being a single parent can be tough, but what makes it even more tough around the holiday is living so far away from our family (home). I am so grateful to have served my country, but I miss my family so much and to be invited to a persons home for the Holiday warmed my heart so much. I’m forever grateful for the people that are compassionate, thoughtful, and kind towards others! I truly believe we all should show that same kindness and I do as much as I can.

My parents (RIP) always trusted me to make good life & career decisions and rarely tried to push me in a certain direction.

today actually was the day. my friend who is going through a divorce has been leaning on me for consolation. up until i experienced two weeks of shut down,, i mean my depression shuts me down from time to time. well , today he came a calling and i was anxious to answer as i was unable to answer his previous calls. so he assured me that i could call on him anytime i was in a similar mood. my thoughts and prayers go out to him tonight.

The most thoughtful thing someone has done for me is saving my life by dying for me.

After getting out of the military, I had dependencies/mental health issues, trying to numb out the pain any way I could. Intense amount of suicidal thoughts. A family member said “Girl, you need Jesus.” Initially, I was mad at her for saying that. About a year later, I got a dream of being in hell. I saw the lake of fire with a demon crawling after me to get relief from its body being burned by lava. I woke up in a cold sweat and bought a Bible that same day. Revelation 2.21-23
“ 21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.

22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.

23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.”

The Lord has literally turned my life around, freed me from all addictions and filled the emptiness that used to be in my heart full of love!
