So I recently reached out to find out if there are any Veterans that were looking to upstart a business in the fastest growing industry (Cannabis/Hemp). Because I know a Veteran Owned Investment Firm looking for someone in Oregon. The post was taken down for "solicitation". For one, I never asked for any thing. If someone was interested, they could have emailed me and we would have had a private conversation
Regardless, what's the point of this site? Are we here to ask nonsense questions and do nothing, and change nothing? Is this site meant to placate Veterans? Monitor us like in Operation Vigilant Eagle? Use us to sell information to political groups so they can get our vote? All I see is a lot of Mental Masterbation on this site.

I failed to see how it was "solicitation" myself. Many civilian companies, and individual members, post job listings on here and that's what your post seemed like to me, was a type of job opportunity.

I suppose this site really isn't to help people. Just some dumb political outlet

I guess the site serves a purpose for those that got out and 30 years later are still treading on their only accomplishment in life. But that's just not enough for me.

I had the same problem earlier this month. I own http://www.AirmenJobs.com and http://www.ClassifiedCareers.com. A member asked me about the sites on a public post and they shut down my post because I was reported by a member as soliciting. I am not sure how to approach this site. I started my businesses specifically for Vets like myself and active duty members ready to separate. I figured Rally Point would encourage any resource trying to help there customer base. This site was invented my 2 Navy Officers, maybe they don't like that my sites where created by a motivated E-5. I am from Oregon Originally by the way. I might be the kind of disabled vet your friends are looking for.

Yea, seems to me like there is just this air of *ss kissing, nonsense, and get nowhere conversation....Vets need help finding good solid careers, and we can't help each other by design of the site.
Really, I have no time for this, and I don't have the patience. They can pat each other on the back about the rank they achieved all they want. I never did kiss *ss, and I'm not about to start now. I have important things to do, and I don't have time for silly people.
