Revamp my teaching style to make my classroom and classes so students won't look at math as the worst subject they are required to take.

1st Lt Mary James - I worked construction in the 90's (framing and siding) and I can't tell you how glad I was that I paid attention in math class. Especially plane Geometry. I used a²+b²=c² all the time to make sure my corners were square. The 3/4/5 rule (or 6/8/10) was required to make sure my subfloor was square. And being able to convert fractions to decimals was invaluable when I had to frame stairs. It surprised me how much I used it, but it truly was essential. Logarithms and other Calculus not so much. But Algebra and Geometry were necessary. I still use the 3/4/5 rule to this day with wood working projects.

AN Jacob Whiteskunk - Probably the reason I like math so much. In history a question could be: "What was the cause of the civil war?" and get twenty answers each potentially correct, but with math...

I lost about 30 lbs doing intermittent fasting (sometimes called "timed eating") and haven't gained it back. Basically, you don't count calories or restrict foods. You just eat during certain times of the day.

I wish you the best of luck! Feel free to message me if you want tips. :)

SSgt Janetta Zehrbach - Ms. Janetta Zehrbach, what you are doing is a wise and effective thing to do. You are influencing the subconscious mind to play along with your conscious mind in order to get things done and reward yourself for doing so. Short-term and long-term goals are better accomplished when they are clearly defined, and done with definite time line. And the weekly, and the monthly goals can keep one on the goal targets, more so than the annual goals that tend to be lofty. Sometimes, just getting certain things done by itself can be the reward, emotionally speaking. One doesn't even have to reward one's self out loudly. I did not address you by the rank of Staff Sergeant, and instead as Ms., because it has been too long since I became a civilian again, haha. Good luck with your goals!!
Joy and Peace

My New Year's resolution for 2023 is to keep my head shaved, in support of my wife, who is dealing with brain cancer. She's beat it once before in 2015 and we are confident she will beat it again!
