I have been keeping and making goals for years. Every year around this time I re-evaluate those goals and set new ones. One that I have only had success in while an active member of the military is fitness.
As a retiree it is very difficult for me to maintain my weight and fitness objectives. This year I'm enrolled in the Move! VA program to help with this resolution. I am hopeful of much better success as I am diabetic and I know it will be very beneficial to lose weight. the program includes a dietician and physical fitness coaching.

Try the Healthy Weight app. You can bet on your weight loss, and win back double your money. You have 6 months to lose the weight. I'm doing it too!

I do not have just ONE goal (not a resolution). I am retired and I believe I need to always have many goals in the following categories to have a long, healthy life- intellectual growth, physical health, and interaction with others.
With that in mind, I have several things I plan to pursue:
1) Travel more (going to explore Space A)
2) Complete Volksmarches and/or IMLs on 4 continents
3) Complete my estate plan
4) Set aside more for donations
5) Have counted steps to equal at least 1,800 miles (just short of that this year)
6) Volunteer more
7) Take online classes for personal growth - and to give me more knowledge to pass onto others as a volunteer

Click on the "thumbs up" where it says "Vote up". I live in Colorado Springs. So I will be flying to any Space A starting point.
Do you happen to know retired Navy Capt Sam (Sue) Ward there? (1120/subs)

CS has good and not so good points. A lot of hiking opportunities. But the conservative/ evangelical portions of town and their inflexibility is not so good. I actually experienced a lot of hostility at work for a major defense company because someone assumed things about me personally that were not true and decided to spread their misconception to the conservative manager.
Knowing how outgoing Sam and Sue Ward were, I thought for sure everyone in Coronado would know them.
