My college music tech class involved Logic. My band uses an older version of Protools.

I don't recall. It's been more than a few years now. Band uses Protools 8, I think.

It matters what I'm doing and who I'm doing it for. I prefer to record on magix cause it simple and straightforward but working with other they may only use pro tools.
When it comes to producing I just love FL Studio though. But I don't like recording music with it.

Pro Tools all the way!! I am actually certified from Avid as a ProTools 10 Music Operator!! If I had another to choose it would be Logic for programming and sample sequencing, but to me nothing beats the editing, mixing, and mastering tools available in ProTools.

Pros for logic: for me the production aspect of it is really smooth and user friendly. Much easier than reason or FL (only other 2 I've used). It's an Apple product, so I can send it to PT and I will be the way I want it.
Cons: I'm not a fan of the editing functions of it. There is a lot to do to get minimal results. Recording isn't as good as PT (the industry standard) and there is fewer options for recording. Mastering can be done in other DAWs with more ease.
I only used PT, Logic, FL, Reason, Siund Forge, and Acid in the past, so I can only speak on what I know. That being said...I am ProTools Certified, so I will always speak highly of that DAW. It is not without its flaws, but still by far my favorite.
