Yall, the truth is until a few years ago I was not a fisherman, I loved to spearfish SCUBA diving or free diving. However, that all changed after my son graduated high school and moved to North MS for College at University of Mississippi AKA Ole Miss. My wife and I were recently retired and thought we should move as well. So we moved close to Sardis Lake.
IMPORTANT PART: Sardis lake my wife and I have caught white bass, striped bass, catfish and my very favorite crappie. Even my son a busy student got into the excitement perusing the spoonbill catfish. The truth is I am not sure what all we have caught but we have made it our goal to try every kind of fish we caught, luckily we liked them all.

Douglas lake in eastern Tennessee! Throwing a buzzbait at night, in a holler called muddy creek! It's a pretty big holler, but anyplace you can find a good rock bank or rocky point you will catch bass. A whole lot of big bass in this lake.

My favorite fishing spot is in Shiloh NC. It was a long afternoon of catching little dinks. A few cast before I was about to leave I caught this 7lb 12oz bass. Put up s good fight but luckily she was close to the shore.

I’ve fished all over from Japan to Washington State but nothing beats fishing in the Fishing Capital of the World! This was taken off the beach of my favorite spot in Boca Raton, Florida!

Looks like you might have some deep water right off the rock. I'd have to swim or row out to distant rocks in NY to have that option, always swam back empty handed. Looked for similar spots in GA when I was there, but I always had to break my back casting. Even then, I'd be 200ft from shore, in 4ft of water and I'd be lucky if my bait was sitting 10ft deep! I did manage to land a 3ft shovelhead at the far end of Tybee Island, but every other time it was just a buzz!

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D I hope we all live to be more than 100 years old because it is going to take that long to finish going through all of these fantastic posts! Better than all of the fishing magazines I subscribe to!

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D grenada lake is a real muddy flood control lake. Thr fish will get really white if they go deep for a period of time where sun doesn't get to them. The two florida females is st johns river w clearer brackish wqter and most fish have a black colouration to them.the males are almost completely black during the spawn
