There are a ton of great songs about military life, that reference the military in some way; some of the more modern works may have a video associated with it, and some of the older classics continue to define the military experience to this day. From country to rock, ballads & pop, to more traditional flavors--did a particular song inspire, educate, or simply strike a chord with you? I am a country girl at heart and a big fan of Toby Keith so I'm going to have to go with American Soldier. It was played at my dawning of the beret ceremony during bct and we would always sing it in the showers during AIT and BCT. Makes me miss those battles!

Yes i agree with you its a good song and i liked his music alot till a SGT of mine said he was on a detail helping set up for one of his concerts and he got a chance to get up close enough to extend his hand out and thank him for all the support he show the armed forces but instead of shaking my SGT's hand he just turned and walked away.
