What's your favorite way to spend weekends in the fall?

I love to go camping, specifically tent camping with my husband and dogs (Lily & Ruby). There's nothing like the crisp fall air, the occasional rain storm (rain sounds peaceful against a tent), and having a warm fire to end a fun day hiking, fishing, boating, etc.

This is easy. I fish. Catch enough for winter cooking. I can't fish in cold anymore. Parts freeze.

Wrap with a blanket and a book and sit in front of the fire place, also a cup of coffee

With my grandchildren, doing anything.

My weekend has already been decided. Thrifting at noon, lunch at a Vegan restaurant (Lord Help me stay quite) then a party at the American Legion post.

Taking a walk with my Grandkids and watching them enjoy the beauty of nature and enjoying the freedoms that all the veterans provide.

With the Minnesota Deer Management Hunt coming up I can sit for hours watching deer that are too young to be taken chase each other around biting each other's tails. Then if the time is right and I took every precaution to cover my trail and scent and I am in the right place I might take a nice buck. Old dead eye dick takes over and still hasn't lost it and there will be venison in my freezer to feed my family and share that good fortune with my kids and their families.

When not hosting friends during Army football games at West Point, my wife and I enjoy spending time at our cottage along MD’s Eastern Shore.

Weekends or otherwise time off (I always worked weekends during my time in the Navy Band) is to get together with friends, or family, and have a cookout or meal day. Having each person make one unique dish is always a treat and makes people get creative.
