Practicing mindfulness and meditation helps me focus on the present moment, reduce stress, and promote emotional well-being. Physical activity releases endorphins, this always improves my mood and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. Even a short walk or some light stretching has shown me to be beneficial. Taking deep, slow breaths is a must!

Travel is essential for me to reset. Even if it's just a short road trip to a town I haven't discovered yet. The new visuals and experiences help to clear the fog in my mind and reduce stress/anxiety. If money doesn't permit at the time I desperately need it, I'll even start planning online and daydreaming about the future trip I intend to embark on. I research destinations and all the little nuances that make each place unique for locals and visitors alike, from events to museums, architecture, foods special to that area, etc. It helps to have that long term vision when stress can make you feel so short-sighted.

I isolate myself to a quiet place somewhere to reset my mind and relieve stress.

The beach always does it for me. Sitting on the sand watching the sunrise. The smell of the water and the breeze against my face. The Peace of it all.

I found horses, I truly believe they can feel your anxiety and other moods. I’ve been taking Equine Therapy at the Dallas VA for a year now and I have been taken off one of my MH meds. Whenever I’m having a bad day I go to the horse park to get my mental health issues taken care of.

My "go to" method was playing soccer. However, after my separation I am no longer able to enjoy the sport I love.
Now, I am fulfilling this satisfaction of playing soccer on FIFA game on xbox.

My mental health reset is spending time on me at the gym and just sitting outside for a while outside. The fresh air and sunshine really does help!!
