I build LEGO sets; it keeps me concentrated on a mission to complete the LEGO for a few hours a day. During my time building LEGO's, nothing goes through my mind except building the LEGO.

For a mental health reset I have lots of options/tools: journal, write poetry, walk outside barefoot in the grass, practice yoga, and/ or see my massage therapist,

Play games on my iPad. Binge watch random zombie shows and movies.
I play guitar and write music. These skills have connected me to like minded friendships in the community who I enjoy open mics with and these relationships have been crucial in my growth connections with people not service related. Once a week I play @ an open mic and recently my amateur musical career has taken off. I’ve released 7 Albums 83 songs on all platforms and I have been able to earn 900-1200 a month to supplement my income as a 100% disabled veteran. It truly puts air back in my lungs. There are devices available to many of us such as Guitars for vets that are nation wide that I highly recommend. Play music. It gets in where others can’t.

I take a day off and clean. There is nothing like a good ol' gi party :) to make me feel like a new person. I blast my music like my TI used to do and just go to town on my house. I feel like once my house is in order and sparkling clean, I am able to put the rest of what is going on in perspective and give to God whatever I cannot control. Even the smell of Lysol can relax me :)
