I used to work ridiculous amounts of hours until I couldn’t physically or mentally keep doing it. I have an amazing wife that is very supportive!!! Traveling always helps as well!!!

How cliche but early morning walks on the beach watching the sunrise. Meditation and prayer for family and friends who need help. Spending quality time with family and friends. Playing drums.

I really started yoga on my deployment as a way to “escape” for a couple of minutes and also to help my body recover from our 12 hour tower shifts in full kit. I felt by joints and back start to tighten more and more each day. We called it “combat yoga” and would gather in a spot in our compound to sit for a minute and stretch out. Some of my fondest memories from that tour.

The best way for a good mental health reset for myself is to focus on all the positive aspects of my life and current situation. I also try to help others who are struggling with a negative situation in their life and it helps me realize that life is hard and no one needs to go at it alone.

Yoga saved my life. I never realized how my previous job conditioned me to constantly move on to the next things. Even after completing my outprocessing checklist and entering the "real" world, I still lived with a baseline level of anxiety and stress, despite having "nothing" to do. My first anxiety attack occurred the day after I returned home to my brother's place in Dallas. It felt disturbing not to have to wear a uniform or cut my hair, or do anything for anyone (I was 26 years old at the time).
I moved to CA and stumbled upon a yoga class and never left. After that first hour of yoga, I realized it was the first time in my life that I wasn't obsessing over the next item on my to-do list. Yoga allowed me to fully experience my life, confronting the parts I didn't like instead of distracting myself with work.
Six years later, I've been teaching yoga and meditation full time and am about to sell out my first yoga retreat.

Hello, my go to mental health reset method would probably be a nice nature hike or camping in nature along with meditation. The peace I find from being away from the everyday city life/rat race, brings seems to work wonders for my mental health amd humbles me. Semper Fi and God bless

Whenever I feel overwhelmed and need to reset my mind, I turn to a simple yet powerful technique. First, I take deep breaths, focusing on each inhale and exhale. It helps me find my inner calm and regain clarity. And if I still need some extra relief, I sit down at my keyboard and start typing out my thoughts and worries. There's something cathartic about putting them into words, watching them lose their grip on my mind.
