Going camping with my wife, son, and dog. There is nothing like watching your 4 year old son explore the outdoors and enjoy it as much as you do.

Yoga, breathing, rest. Exercise like ride my bike. Engaging in nothing that is confrontational.

I struggle to stop thinking about things and shutting my thoughts down. For this reason, my go to for relaxing is to dive into an intense workout. The harder it is, the better I feel because I can’t think about anything other than making it through the next movement and it clears my head.
Swimming, painting, cooking, and music are also helpful tools for me to relax.

My "go to" reset is music. I just simply want to listen and feel the music. I go for long-playing tracks or instrumental mixes that can be hours long so that listening is a relaxing journey instead of erratic switches between songs. It's like adding a soundtrack or official score to your life when you need that boost to get through a stormy patch. It's putting a slow guitar solo next to your thoughts while trying to solve problems or making sense of it all. No commercial interruptions, station breaks, or joking DJs, just me and the music.

For me, it's all about doing things I enjoy like going on a hike in the mountains, cooking a meal I really enjoy, taking a nap, or watching a favorite show or movie.

For me, it is getting daily exercise and, on the weekends, going to the shooting range. There is something soothing to me knowing I am doing something good for my body and practicing something that could save my life or that of my family. I also enjoy getting away to nature and camping as I find it therapeutic to look up at the stars away from the city lights. When it is not too hot in Kentucky, I also enjoy weekend evenings around the fire pit in my back yard. All of these help me deal with daily stress.

Not smoking nor drinking nor sitting around, I clear my spirit while walking though my town. So far I've lost 15 pounds. I've been feeling better inside and out. My clothes that have been hanging in my closet with no chance of me fitting in them are very close to being taken out and worn by me very soon.
