I use meditation, especially mindfulness and progressive muscle relaxation. I would love to get into Yoga but have physical limitations that have up till now stopped me but I am hopeful to find my way back there as well. Lastly! Massage therapy!

Depending on my mood, the music I listen to sets the mood for the type of workout I complete. Sometimes an hour of yoga to relax and ease my mind. Working my heavy bag and listening to rock music if I'm feeling frustrated or angry. Hip hop/pop for some upbeat jams while I knock out some light free weights with a routine.

At 74, I'm prob'ly working out more than when I was in my 30s. That helps, as does morning yoga and meditation, or a walk in the woods. But the one thing that's almost always helped me get back on the path the most has been making music. Guitar. Keyboard. Harmonica. ... Hell. A pot to bang on if it comes to that. But music, esp'ly making music, has always soothed my soul.
