I focus on my health and self-care. I prioritize fitness and weightlifting with cardio. I made sure to take time to do the things I enjoy and appreciate the simple pleasures of life.

My to go to for a mental health reset would either be skin care or going for a swim in natural forms of water like lakes, rivers, or beaches. With skincare, I love how it can rejuvenate your skin immediately and its a diy friendly. Swimming in clear fresh waters speaks for itself. There's nothing like it, you don't have to go deep or far but taking a plunge into water like that is restorative and refreshing. Both for me, help me reset and also refresh my mentality and perspective on Life.

First, I check in and make sure I'm not just thirsty or hangry. If it's a true trigger I try to identify the usually fight, flight, freeze or fawn behavior in the moment and depending on what is going on, usually excuse myself and take 5 minutes to box-breathe or if I have time, perhaps a 15 minute audio meditation or some scripture reading and prayer. The biggest thing is to slow down the chaos in that triggered time and be good to myself in a disciplined way that is aligned with my new purpose(s)

Mostly reading and video gaming. Recently I convinced myself to visit my local tabletop game store and found a welcoming community. I’ve now added painting miniatures to my mental health reset hobby.

I never thought I’d say this but running truly has been just what I needed. It went from being this love hate relationship with it to a shift of pushing myself to push harder and set goals that challenged me. In the process I began to truly enjoy the views, saying hello to the regular runners I’d see, and really just settling into my groove. Now, running is a big stress reliever. Look at this incredible sunset I had to stop and capture.

My go to method is a walk on the beach. There is something about the ocean that just really clears my head and resets any negative I have going on.

My go to meditation is prayer. Walking on the treadmill is my way of releasing anxiety.

My “go to” method is to disconnect from all the “noise” and get close to nature.
