I spend time in the gym, workout out with weights, or swimming 1-1.5 miles, zoning out to music.

I usually exercise with some weight lifting, it helps me clear my mind shockingly.

For me it's outside in the mountains.
Whether on my mountain bike, running ultra marathons, long distance paddling, or putting them all together with maps and compass navigation for multi-day adventure racing. Sometimes solo or sometimes with a team.
When I'm completely drained and sleep deprived and singularly focused on the next thing, that's when I feel a certain zen. A steady flow state and at peace.
Having like minded individuals around as teammates is a welcome pick me up and has the similar feel to the military family.

My “go to” method for a mental health reset is to go fishing or camping in the woods.

Making sawdust in the woodshop.
Doesn’t have to be anything special, just the distraction and using another part of the brain.

I do either Qui Gong (Chi Kung) or go for a hike. Preferably both.
