When I bought my drum set, nobody wanted to send it to Puerto Rico, Musician's Friend, 123, etc. every body had a different excuse. Sam Ash was the only one that sent it with no problems. They made a mistake in the bill and gave me a credit without even asking. The only thing that I don't like is that, they know I play drums, they know I bought them a set, still send me just guitars offers, smh. SGT (Join to see)

That's awesome. I never thought SamAsh would have a one-up over the others you mentioned.

SGT (Join to see) the reason why I say the other companies gave me "excuses" is because what they were saying didn't make any sense and SamAsh was the only one straight. The drum set was +70lbs, divided in several boxes, Musician's told me that they couldn't ship anything above +70 which was true and false. Well, I got my set and I loved it the time I got it.

That's an awesome reason to support SamAsh. Unfortunately, I've only seen one store. Guitar Center is always close by. Have you submitted a testimonial to them?

I try to do business with local merchants first but I'll go through Guitar Center or Musicians Friend if that fails.

I like browsing the "Refurb" section in Guitar Center and Musician's Friend.

I'm not technical so I just get them off iTunes. My daughter tells me to go here, rip this, add to this, convert to.......

And you just look and go "okay." Nothing wrong with that. I'm TRYING to get more technical, but I got a long way to go. Have you seen my IT questions? I pretty much say "what this is?" and learn from the responses. That makes learning fun for me.

This site has a lot of used gear. I like that. It's great seeing old busted up gear with great sounds or abilities.

If you need music (hard copy format): For Your Entertainment (FYE) has a lot of selections of CDs and I even have seen Vinyls.
If you need software or equipment, I am not yet knowledgeable of where to go. I'm just getting seriously started. I am enrolling in school with a hopeful start date of SEP 28.

SGT (Join to see) - I collect music and have over 55,000 45's, 15,000 33's, thousands of cassettes, 3,000 CD's, and even several hundred 8-tracks. Having said that, I have not bought a record for many, many years or a CD in at least two years, as all my music is now acquired/downloaded from iTunes.

When using iTunes, I had to use Amazon sometimes to get music iTunes wouldn't have.

I don't do any CD shopping, even though I might get into it again soon as I start making more money. So my go-to for music in general is Rhapsody, where I pay a monthly fee for unlimited song downloads. It's pretty awesome.

SGT (Join to see) - They're actually real nice. I used to use Music Unlimited but that was shut down recently, so I went to Rhapsody and it's essentially the same thing. And so TuneIn is basically another Pandora? Or no?

TuneIn just plays music in a genre or playlist you choose. I don't think it has any cool algorithms based on what songs you like.
