Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. First game I ever played to the point of 100% total completion. I couldn't put it down for months.

Pirates!
X-Com 1 and 2 (originals)
Jagged Alliance 1 and 2 (I still play modded versions of Jagged Alliance 2 to this day)
The SSI Dungeon and Dragons games
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2
Icewind Dale 1 and 2
Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics (love the new Fallouts but you asked about "old" games)

I'm still trying to get the new X-Com working on Linux Steam.

SGT (Join to see) - new X-Com is okay....eyecandy for sure, but doesn't have the same feel as the original game. That being said, there is a game on Steam called Xenonauts, which is a more accurate remake of the original. IIRC it plays on Linux as well....

System Shock 2 from 1999 and No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way from 2002. You can get System Shock 2 from both Steam and GOG, but NOLF 2 is not available for digital purchase. Nobody knows for sure who owns the rights.

I remember Quake. That reminds me of Planet Strike.

From the 90s? I'd have to say Diablo II. Currently my favorite PC game is Arma III.

I just wish I could afford a gaming PC. My laptop won't charge and could barely play World of Tanks anyway.

Craigslist always has good laptops for cheap. If it won't charge, the DC power connector could be loose.

I've rebuilt computers before and I really think it's the power chord. I disassembled it and there's nothing wrong in the laptop.

But that's besides the point, I can't play Arma III on it or many other games.
