I like the ASIP's, but the bigger SINGCAR's had their place too. But, remember, I'm so old, I remember the Army still using Teletypes, Vincents, PRC-77's, and having Wire Dogs (31K's) to run wd-1. And I will never be a 25 anything. I'm a 31C, and will always be one.

You remind me of a Veteran I knew that ran a CLS course and he told me "I'm a 91B. I don't play that 68W crap." That's okay, though. Signal.

I've worked as 31K, 31C, 31U, and 31V, then they changed the shit to 25U and 25C, and the morons I worked with could barely spell signal. I was fortunate enough to also be 11b for a few years, and that made be a better signaler when I returned. But being Signal didn't make me smart enough to not jump from those Perfectly good aircraft while in flight (sitting on the runway doesn't count).

if your a plt size element that doesn't need sat than no doubt, the V6 MBITR. I would use that one because of the 16 channel wheel so you could easily bump to other freqs. Also for telling other 11B's how to easily switch. It's also a lighter than 152s. But if you are a secondary means of sat, than I recommend you use the 152, due to its sat burst mode and also the use of the KDU for ease of access and to not depend on pulling it out. But by far, The best radio in the world is the 117G (bigger version of the 152 basically)! Yeah the radio is a little on the heavy side, but it pushes 20 watts versus the 5 watts for the MBITR and 10 watts for the 152 so you can push a lot further out with the 117G.

I like the additional options the 152 gives. Every radio has a situation it shines in, but the 152 being an option for almost any situation makes it my ideal choice.
